My little yellow rain coat doesn’t keep the rain out but it can keep the cold out of living in, a big city with a cityscape so pretty and a landscape unforgiving for those, who go out unprepared but a raincoat paired with little boots can go so far in keep your cares at bay Verse 2 I’ve walked miles today in my little boots they take me over hill and far away there’s no mistaking it the fresh air at the atmosphere spring is here, and just in time… Verse 3 I’ve worked hard this week, my throat is sore and my eyelids creak they are dry from the sunshine that disturbs my sleep, an hour before my alarm clock rings and I dream at night of the april showers that might bring relief but they do not come, the clouds roll on but the april showers do not come- ahhh Bridge I wonder over the rooftops, out into the meadow down by the river, over to the sea but you sit in your chair and spin around in circles with the grey of the air and another cup of tea gone cold Instrumental Bridge 2 I wonder over the rooftops, out into the meadow down by the river, over to the sea and I asked you if youd come with me you just sit in your chair and spin around in circles with the grey of the air and another cup of tea gone cold.. gone cold, gone cold, gone cold In my little yellow raincoat you watch me go

INTRO V1 I’ve been waiting For you to come Around the corner, knock on my door I am patient, I am still around the corner Knock on my door
V2 Underweather Overhead I am restless on my aching legs Wait for spring time, Wait for word good things come or so I’ve heard You said I don’t know where we are There’s no questions to be asked Just love me one night at a time.. Chorus I know you’re tired so We’ll keep the lights down low And the music low And when the morning comes I’ll go INSTRUMENTAL Oooh Sand in my hair Mud on my boots And a wind that takes the breath from you All is busy All is loud And i need some help to drown it out Chorus And then you told me where you are I’m just beside your house And I know that you aren’t home But I just thought you’d like to know Middle 8 /Bridge? And I need to get out of this place I know I should, but I just really really cant stay One more minute if I did I’d get lost And it’s dangerous to walk beside the sea on your own V3… Tide is changing, I am still I am waiting, But I’m on my way back home So will you be around tonight You said I’ll be inside, come see me if you like I know you’re tired so We’ll keep the lights down And when the morning comes i’ll go I know you’re tired so we’ll keep the lights down low And when the morning comes i’ll go Outro...

I put all these notes in a jar Words to use like anti-freeze Procrastination frost on your car stuck inside on sunny days I’ve wasted so much time And I’m feeling I’m ready for better days maybe if I do it for you I can do it for me Maybe if I do it for you I can do it for me I put all the dates in the diary something to work to a something map to guide me I know I’ll be happy then I don’t wanna wait for them We’ve wasted so much Im feeling I’m ready for better days maybe if I do it for us I can do it for me Maybe if I do it for us I can do it for me maybe if I do it for us I can do it for me Maybe if I do it for us I can do it for me I went out for a walk round to The park near my house The sun went behind the clouds but it came out before I left I meditate on the grass. I don’t normally do that But I thought if not now when I breathe in the air I listen to sounds I feel the sun And I feel myself Quiet down Maybe if I do it today Can I do it tomorrow If I can do it today Maybe I’ll come back tomorow Maybe if I do it today Can I do it tomorrow If I can do it today Maybe I’ll come back tomorrow (If I do it today could I come back tomorrow)

about

Underweather EP explores themes of identity, overwhelm, weather, feeling stuck and introverted, or feeling open or free and how nature can both nurture and reinforce these feelings.

It features melodic accompaniment on strings and brass complimenting and warm vocal sound. Each track is layered with melodies and harmonies to support story-telling lyrics featuring imagery of nature, weather, coast, hills and more.
