Hold is the title track of my debut EP and is really a lullaby to myself at times when I haven’t been able to quiet my brain. They say you shouldn’t go to bed angry, but sometimes that moment where we lie down to sleep is where the whole day’s anxieties descend upon us and it takes everything you have not to go down a massive rabbit hole when the best thing is probably just to try and settle down and get some rest. Recorded at Foxden and Tesla studios I’m really excited for this one as it features cello (Lucy Revis, Before Breakfast) and French horn (performed by Chris Noble). My original vision was that this track would come out around Christmas so my aesthetic was Salvation Army brass band - I know its coming out a little after the festive period, but I still think it gives that energy which as a Yorkshire based artist is pretty satisfying and definitely captures that winter blues feeling.
